TRABZON'un Köprübaşı ilçesinde bir evin bahçesinde görülen 2 metre uzunluğundaki yılan, evin sahibi tarafından öldürüldü. Öldürülen yılanın, dünyanın en zehirli yılanlarından olan engerek türünün, Doğu Karadeniz'deki tek endemik çeşidi 'Hopa engereği' (Vipera kaznakovi) olduğu belirlendi. Nesli tehlike altındaki 'Hopa engereği'nin yaşam alanlarının korunması için kapsamlı eylem planı yürütülüyor.
