Giresun’da, 8 yıl önce, terör örgütü PKK mensuplarının, askeri aracın geçişi sırasında yola önceden döşediği el yapımı patlayıcıyı infilak ettirmesi sonucu yaralanan ve gözlerini kaybeden jandarma er Erdem Ay, tedavisinin ardından taburcu edildi. Vücudunda oluşan enfeksiyon nedeniyle 4 aydır tedavi gören gazi Ay, doktorların tüm müdahalelerine rağmen kurtarılamayarak, şehit oldu.
